Plagiarism Policy

ILMAN: International Lajagoe Journal of Management and Accounting is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism in all its forms and ensures that all submitted manuscripts are checked for originality before publication.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s ideas, words, data, or research results without proper acknowledgment or citation. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text directly from other sources without proper citation

  • Paraphrasing another author’s work without giving credit

  • Using figures, tables, or data from other sources without permission or acknowledgment

  • Submitting someone else’s work as one’s own

  • Self-plagiarism (reusing significant portions of one’s previously published work without proper citation)

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo a plagiarism detection process using reliable plagiarism detection software.

The editorial team will evaluate the similarity index of each manuscript to ensure the originality of the content.

  • Manuscripts with a similarity index above the acceptable threshold may be returned to the author for revision or rejected.

  • Authors are expected to ensure that their manuscript has been properly cited and written in their own words before submission.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • All sources used in the research are properly cited and referenced.

  • Quotations and borrowed ideas are clearly acknowledged.

  • The manuscript does not contain any form of plagiarism or academic misconduct.

Editorial Actions in Cases of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the journal will take appropriate actions, including:

  1. Immediate rejection of the manuscript.

  2. Requesting the author to revise and correct the manuscript if the issue is minor.

  3. Retraction of the published article if plagiarism is discovered after publication.

  4. Notification to the author’s affiliated institution if serious ethical violations occur.

Commitment to Academic Integrity

The editorial board is dedicated to preventing unethical publication practices and ensuring that all published works uphold the principles of honesty, transparency, and academic integrity.

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to cooperate in maintaining the quality and credibility of the journal’s publications.
