Author Guidelines

ILMAN: International Lajagoe Journal of Management and Accounting welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the development of knowledge in the fields of management, accounting, business, and economics. Authors are required to follow the guidelines below when preparing and submitting their manuscripts.

1. Scope of the Journal

ILMAN publishes original research articles and literature reviews related to:

- Financial Management

- Human Resource Management

- Marketing Management

- Strategic Management

- Financial Accounting

- Management Accounting

- Accounting Information Systems

- Entrepreneurship

- Business and Economics

Manuscripts must demonstrate novelty, scientific rigor, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Original Research Articles
Reports of empirical research with clear methodology and analysis.

Literature Review Articles
Critical analysis and synthesis of existing literature in a specific research area.

3. Language

Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. However, authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts in clear and professional English to increase international readership.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be prepared according to the following format:

5,000 – 8,000 words (including references)

Document Format

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

Paper size: A4

Margins: 3 cm on all sides

Font: cambria, 12 pt

Line spacing: 1

Paragraph alignment: Justified

5. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

Title

The title should be clear, concise, and informative, reflecting the main focus of the study.

Author Information

Include:

Full name of each author

Institutional affiliation

Email address of the corresponding author

Abstract

Written in English

150–250 words

Should summarize the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusions of the study.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the manuscript.

Introduction

The introduction should explain:

Research background

Research problem

Research objectives

Significance of the study

Literature Review

Discuss relevant theories and previous studies to establish the theoretical foundation of the research.

Research Method

Describe the research design, data collection methods, population/sample, instruments, and analysis techniques.

Results and Discussion

Present research findings clearly and discuss their implications in relation to previous studies and theories.

Conclusion

Summarize the main findings and provide recommendations for future research.

References

All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list.

6. Citation and Referencing Style

ILMAN uses the APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.

Journal Article
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages.

Book
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of book. Publisher.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

7. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be clearly labeled and numbered.

Each table or figure must include a title and source (if applicable).

Tables and figures should be referenced within the text.

8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).

Steps for submission:

Register as an author in the journal system.

Upload the manuscript file.

Complete the submission metadata.

Confirm submission.

9. Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The editor conducts an initial screening.

Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript based on reviewer feedback.

10. Publication Ethics

Authors must adhere to the journal’s publication ethics policy, including:

Originality of the manuscript

Proper citation of sources

Avoidance of plagiarism

Disclosure of conflicts of interest

Manuscripts with plagiarism above the acceptable threshold will be rejected.

11. Copyright and License

Authors retain copyright of their work. Published articles may be distributed under an open access policy, allowing readers to freely access and share the content for academic purposes.
